These terms apply when you use 72kit.co.uk, take our assessment or buy from us. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are

72kit is a trading name of HyStore Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our address is Arkle House, 31 Lonsdale Street, Carlisle, CA1 1BJ, United Kingdom. Our VAT number is 381751484. You can contact us at hello@72kit.co.uk.

2. What we provide

• The free assessment: a short questionnaire that gives your household a readiness score and shows your biggest gaps.
• The Personalised 72-Hour Kit Plan: a paid digital plan listing what your household needs, with quantities and reasons, based on your answers.
• Emails: your results, your plan link and, if you ask for them, reminders and offers.
• Links to products sold by other retailers (see section 7).

3. General guidance, not professional advice

Our assessment and plans give general guidance to help households prepare. They are not a professional risk assessment, and they are not medical, safety or legal advice. They do not replace official warnings or instructions from the emergency services, the Met Office, the Environment Agency, your local council or other authorities.

Your results depend on the answers you give. Please answer accurately and update your plan if your household changes. In an emergency where life is at risk, call 999.

4. Using the site

You must be 18 or over to buy from us. Our services are designed for households in the United Kingdom. Please do not misuse the site. For example, do not try to access other people's results or plans, interfere with how the site works, or copy our content for commercial use.

5. Ordering and paying

All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT. Our contract with you starts when we email to confirm your order. If we cannot accept your order, for example because of a pricing error, we will tell you and will not charge you, or we will refund you in full.

6. Your kit plan

We start building your plan as soon as your payment goes through, and it is usually ready within a few minutes. You open it using a private link, which we show you after payment and also send by email. Anyone with the link can view your plan, so please keep it private.

Your plan is for your own household's use. You may print it or share it with members of your household, but you may not resell it or publish it. Cancellations and refunds are covered by our Refund policy.

7. Links to other retailers

Some links in your plan, on our site and in our emails go to products sold by other retailers, such as Amazon. These are marked as ads. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. The retailer is the seller, so their prices, terms and returns policy apply.

Prices and availability can change, so any prices we show are a guide only. We choose products we think are suitable, but we do not make, sell or guarantee them. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions.

8. Reminders and emails

We send emails about your results and orders. We only send offers and marketing if you have agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Reminders, for example about expiry dates, are a helpful extra and may not always arrive. Please keep your own check on the dates of items in your kit.

9. Our content

The site, assessment, plans, text and designs belong to us or the people we license them from. Apart from the personal use described in section 6, you may not copy, reproduce or reuse them without our written permission.

10. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable. We supply our services for domestic and private use only, so we are not responsible for any loss of profit, business or opportunity.

Being prepared improves your chances, but no plan can guarantee your safety or cover every situation. We are not responsible for loss caused by emergencies, by events outside our reasonable control, or by products bought from other retailers.

Unless the law says otherwise, our total liability to you for any order is limited to the price you paid for it.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. For advice about your rights, contact Citizens Advice.

11. Your personal information

We use your personal information as described in our Privacy policy. Our assessment never asks about medical conditions.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the site when you place an order is the one that applies to that order.

13. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
